Home is where the heart is...

And, in this family's case, home is also where the photo session is. For many families, having their photo session at home is a great option. A family photo session in your own yard allows you to capture your family in the place where you spend hours playing and bonding and having fun. Being at your own home can also increase the comfort level for family members that might be a bit shy or apprehensive about having their photo taken. It is also a wonderful option if you have pets that you want included in the photos who may not make it through the full session. A beautiful landscaped yard filled with personal memories is a perfect combination for great portrait location.

I met this family and their pup at their beautiful home in Sudbury. We were able to capture some lovely group photos but the best photos are those of the kids laughing. Why? Because their dad got up to some nonsense behind me so the kids really let their laughter and smiles shine. I love when parents act silly to get their kids to laugh during the sessions. I always appreciate an tips and tricks to get your kids to laugh. It makes my job easier and I greatly appreciate that!
