It's high school senior portrait time...

This week was the return to school for many children in Massachusetts. For students entering their senior year, it is the beginning of a season of 'lasts.' Last first day, last homecoming, last football games and all that comes with the commencement of 13 years of schooling. To commemorate a high school senior's milestone, many families turn to photographers for a portrait session. These portrait sessions allow time for you to document your child in a beautiful setting before they head out on their next big stage of life whether it be college, prep school, military or directly into the working world. It also provides a time for updated family portraits and some photos of your senior with just mom and dad and their siblings. This is also the time to capture their school yearbook portrait.

Senior portraits are one of my favorite types of sessions. They are filled with excitement and anticipation of the year to come and also a bit of nostaglia for parents watching their now grown child get ready to take on the world. As a mom, I feel those emotions so deeply and I love capturing your moments together and documenting this milestone with you.

This particular session was held at the beautiful Wolbach Farm in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Wolbach Farm is a 54 acre property owned and maintained by Sudbury Valley Trustees. The beautiful barn and open fields lend itself perfectly as a backdrop for family or senior portrait photography. I met O and her family on a Friday evening right at golden hour. We took a few moments at the start of the shoot to capture O with her brother as well as her mom and dad. After that, the focus was all on capturing her senior portraits. The results were stunning as you can see below and I am so grateful to her for choosing me to photograph her portraits.

Senior portraits are typically due to the school prior to December so don't delay in booking your session as they do tend to fill quickly. I offer 3 session options for high school senior: a full portrait session with family and outfit changes, a 15 mini-session for senior portrait photos only and a twin session. Details and booking/availability for my senior sessions can be found HERE or reach out if you want to discuss your session needs with me directly.

Best wishes to O and her family as they continue to enjoy this momentous year!
